Cette étude analyse l’influence des interventions spatiales sur la vie urbaine à Manacapuru, médiatisée par le secteur des biens et services commerciaux, en particulier les hôtels et les stations-service. Dans cette recherche, nous sommes partis de l’hypothèse que le pont du Rio Negro est l’objet géographique qui induit le plus intensément les modes de vie urbains dans ces espaces de consommation en facilitant la circulation des véhicules motorisés entre Manaus et Manacapuru. Cet événement a influencé les espaces de consommation pour en faire des lieux où les relations sociales sont de plus en plus médiatisées par le mode de production capitaliste. Ce travail montre donc que les échanges de biens et de services ont acquis de nouvelles valeurs en accord avec les transformations économiques et socio-spatiales.
