The story of the Normandy Inn, its founder Katherine Olmsted and the successive ownership over the subsequent years. The main building is a barn, built in the 1800s and this story chronicles the changes and additions from 1927 - 2023, as well as how the business weathered major U.S. historical events; the Great Depression and World War II. It also contains many interviews from area residents, prior owners, historical pictures and even French cooking recipes! This book is a treasure trove for the history buff, chef and preserver of local history.
