It was written in the dialect of the time but can still be read with enjoyment. The writer of the first volume, Frances Calhoun, died after the completion of the book. The rest of the series was then created by Emma S. Sampson.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
