The Missouri Mirobriga Project grew out of discussions held in 1981 and earlier concerning possible options for useful archaeological work in southern Portugal. Mirobriga was chosen because it was obviously a major Roman site already partially cleared but not fully published or understood. The following report is concerned with the results of the investigations undertaken by the Miroriga Project between 1981 and 1986.
