She juxtaposed the images with text that included history, religious context, and her reflections. The iconography combines inspired meditation and prayer to stimulate startling conclusions hidden in the images. An Introduction to Christina imagery and Biblical Stories of Jesus in a Visual Narrative, Each icon in the collection is meticulously crafted using earth pigments and carefully layered to create a flawless masterpiece. The egg tempera Byzantine technique beautifully captures the Earth’s essence and organic life while melding with ancient Biblical imagery.
