L’idea di questo libro-progetto è stata selezionata per risolvere un problema vitale in molti Paesi, quello delle mine sepolte. Questo documento descrive lo sviluppo di un veicolo controllato da PC per la riduzione del rischio nello sminamento umanitario. Un veicolo controllato da PC è stato progettato con determinati vincoli di dimensioni fisiche e di peso per avere libera mobilità in aree che si ritiene abbiano un’alta densità di mine sotterrate. L’obiettivo del veicolo è quello di rilevare la presenza di mine sepolte tramite metal detector e di determinare il tipo di mina sepolta attraverso l’analisi delle forme d’onda di feedback fornite dai sensori, nonché di fornire una posizione precisa delle mine sepolte tramite GPS.
