Mile High Revenge

A cyclist is left for dead. A killer walks free. Now revenge is coming for everyone.Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Matt Walker has settled into a quieter life at the Denver Tribune after exposing a corporate murder conspiracy that made national headlines. But when he covers the trial of George Mason, a man accused of killing a woman in a suspicious highway collision, Matt watches the defendant walk free and a grieving husband, Tony Bruno, erupt in open court with a chilling vow of vengeance. Meanwhile, on a mountain road outside Boulder, a carefully planned hit-and-run has already left an unsuspecting cyclist shattered on the rocks along the St. Vrain Creek, and the man behind the wheel is answering to someone far more dangerous. When Mason’s defense attorney vanishes from his office parking lot and Tony Bruno disappears on the same day, Matt and his close friend, Denver homicide detective Scott Barton, suspect the cases are linked. As they dig deeper into the connections between a fatal crash, a kidnapping, and a network of organized crime rooted in Colorado’s Front Range, they realize the conspiracy is far bigger and more ruthless than either of them imagined. Every new lead pulls them closer to people who will do anything to stay hidden. In Mile High Revenge, nothing is what it seems. The question is whether Matt and Scott can untangle the truth before a revenge plot spiraling out of control claims its next victim.
