Im Rahmen einer qualitativen und quantitativen Innovations- und Entwicklungsstudie wurde eine Methodik entwickelt, die die Protokollierung von Diagnose, Behandlung, Prävention und Nachsorge für kubanische Patienten mit Genodermatose umfasst. Die Studie war in verschiedene Phasen unterteilt. Sie begann mit einer bibliografischen Durchsicht zur Analyse des Themas und der Charakterisierung der Genodermatosen in Las Tunas, wodurch die häufigsten monogenen Genodermatosen identifiziert werden konnten. Für die Ausarbeitung und Validierung wurde die Delphi-Variante der Expertenmethode angewandt, um Protokolle für Diagnose, Behandlung und Prävention für die drei Versorgungsebenen sowie einen Algorithmus für die Nachsorge dieser Patienten zu erstellen. Zur Umsetzung der Methodik wurden Kurse und Workshops abgehalten und die Android-Anwendung 'Genodermatologie' entwickelt. Zur Bewertung der Methodik wurde eine quasi-experimentelle Vorher-Nachher-Studie durchgeführt. Die Anwendung der Methodik war zufriedenstellend, was durch die Verwendung statistischer Indikatoren nachgewiesen wurde. Die Methodik verbessert die Versorgung von Patienten mit Genodermatose.
