Merugud Uilix Maicc Leirtis: The Irish Odyssey (1886) is a book written by Kuno Meyer. This book is a retelling of the epic tale of the Irish hero Ulysses (also known as Odysseus in Greek mythology) and his journey home after the Trojan War. The story is told in the form of a dialogue between Ulysses and his son Telemachus, as they recount the many adventures and trials that Ulysses faced on his journey. These adventures include encounters with gods and monsters, battles with fierce enemies, and the seduction of beautiful women. The book is written in Old Irish and is considered a classic of Irish literature. It provides a unique insight into the ancient myths and legends of Ireland and the heroic figures that populate them. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
