Maxillofacial deformities significantly impact patient’s lives, affecting both their physical and psychological well-being and often leading to serious psychiatric, social, and familial issues. Research shows these individuals frequently face social stigma, including avoidance and negative perceptions of their personality. Therefore, treatment must address the whole patient, not just the anatomical defect. Maxillofacial prosthetics an interdisciplinary field combining art and science plays a critical role in restoring both form and function. These prostheses must closely mimic natural shape and color to blend with the surrounding tissues, enhancing not only aesthetics but also functional abilities. Successful rehabilitation involves coordinated planning among surgeons, dentists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. With technological advancements, fully digital workflows now allow for precise planning, virtual design, and the creation of facial prostheses using standardized templates and digital retention systems. Ultimately, maxillofacial prosthetic therapy aims to restore quality of life and social integration for patients living with facial deformities.
