The Hertfordshire Masters’ Lodge was formed in 1920, and many of its Worshipful Masters and Brethren served in the armed forces before, during, and after the Second World War. This book serves as a record of the military careers of some of those Brethren, and it is appropriate that it should be published eighty years after the start of that war.
