Java was developed by Sun Microsystems in the early 1990s with the goal of enabling software to run across different types of devices without modification. This led to the well-known slogan: 'Write once, run anywhere' (WORA). Java is widely recognized for its high level of hardware and operating system independence.Initially, Java was introduced as a platform for running client-side applets within web browsers.
