Arranged by county, these volumes list all the sites, structures, districts, and buildings which have played an integral role in the history of Massachusetts, and include the location, date of designation, historical significance, and current use of places that have influenced the development of the state. The pictorial illustrates a variety of these places. Included are: All historic areas in the National Parks System, National Historic Landmarks which have been designated by the US Secretary of the Interior and properties significant to the Nation, State or community which have been nominated the States, Federal agencies, and others which have been approved by the National Park Service.
