Marooned! A Team Survival Game

One mission. Fifteen survival items. Countless leadership lessons. Discover the team-building exercise that transforms groups into teams.Imagine discovering more about your leadership abilities and teamwork talent in one hour than months of meetings could reveal. After a spacecraft crash strands your crew on a barren asteroid, survival depends on ranking fifteen salvaged items for a perilous journey to safety. Participants must first trust their own judgment, then work together under pressure to negotiate a single team solution-knowing that every decision may determine whether the entire group succeeds or fails. As the exercise unfolds, hidden patterns begin to emerge. Some people naturally take charge, others become expert advisers, while still others learn the value of listening before persuading. Differences in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making become immediately visible through action rather than theory. The resulting discussions often produce powerful insights into how individuals contribute to-or unintentionally hinder-the effectiveness of a team. Because participants compare both individual and team results against an expert benchmark, the experience creates meaningful opportunities for self-reflection and lasting behavioral change.More than a survival simulation, Marooned! A Team Survival Game is a complete facilitation system for leadership development and organizational learning. With ready-to-use facilitator scripts, participant scorecards, scoring methods, and structured debriefs, it equips trainers, educators, consultants, and managers to deliver engaging workshops that improve collaboration, critical thinking, negotiation, and collective decision-making. Whether used in executive retreats, classrooms, nonprofit organizations, or corporate training programs, the game consistently transforms abstract leadership concepts into memorable experiences that participants will continue discussing long after the session ends.If you’re looking for an engaging, proven activity that inspires stronger communication, deeper collaboration, and more effective teams, Marooned! offers an unforgettable learning experience that turns every participant into both a survivor and a better teammate.Other helpful books in the White-Collar Migrant Worker series:- White-Collar Migrant Worker: Making Your Way in the Gig Economy (#1)- 11 Ways to Spot Fake News (#2)- How Not to Abuse Metadata (#3)- Financial Proofreading (#5)- Technical Analysis Basics (#6)
