Com um forte cunho filosófico, procura dar resposta a questões sobre a arte e os seus significados, tais como: Qual a relação entre a filosofia e a arte; o que torna um objeto artístico; o que têm em comum todos os objectos a que chamamos 'arte'; e porque valorizamos esses objectos? Assim, de forma a dar respostas claras e distintas a cada uma destas questões, este manual prático de Filosofia da Arte será dividido em quatro partes, tendo em conta uma visão diacrónica da estética, o nível cognitivo do aprendente e uma didática funcional aplicada a um nível de ensino superior: Do mito ao logos, Filosofia da arte, Análise estética e Leituras.
