Sobre IBD

Este cuaderno pretende ser un manual introductorio sobre la comunicación intercultural, dirigido principalmente a estudiantes de comunicación y áreas afines. Nuestro objetivo es ofrecer un acercamiento teórico, conceptual y metodológico en torno a este fenómeno de gran interés para los estudios en comunicación. La comunicación intercultural es un campo de estudios relativamente joven. Desde los años 80, disciplinas como la antropología, sociología, filosofía, pedagogía y comunicación, han abordado la problemática que implica el fenómeno de la interculturalidad. De ahí que sean ya varias las aportaciones que se han hecho al respecto y desde campos disciplinares distintos. En nuestra propuesta, la interculturalidad va ligada necesariamente con la comunicación, no puede existir sin ésta. Lo anterior configura ya una apuesta por entender la interculturalidad desde una óptica concreta, que pone énfasis en las negociciones y/o conflictos que median cualquier situación de comunicación entre sujetos considerados distintos. Esperamos que esta obra sea útil en términos de construcción de conocimiento, de reflexión crítica y de análisis introspectivo.
