Roger Galstad has long believed that God only is inherently immortal and that only those humans to whom God gives immortality in the Resurrection will live forever. When it became his task to write a doctoral dissertation, Galstad focused on these same biblical truths. He eventually rewrote his dissertation for a popular audience under the title Man’s Ignorance and God’s Grace: A Case for Conditional Immortality, of which this book is the second edition. His suggestion that those who in this life never encounter Christ in the gospel will have that opportunity after death is not a view I can affirm with confidence myself, but we do know that God’s judgment will have no taint of injustice and it will leave no just cause for complaint.Edward William FudgeAuthor: The Fire That ConsumesMan’s Ignorance and God’s Grace is not shy in presenting the controversial positions associated with Conditionalism, Mortalism and the matters of Heaven and Hell. This book develops a powerful argument against traditional Christian teachings on the constitution of the soul and its immortality. It also makes clear and presents the biblical hope of salvation for most if not all.Author Bio:Roger Galstad pastors the Eau Claire, Wisconsin congregation of Grace Communion International and the affiliated Valley Bible Church of Whitehall and Eleva. He holds a PhD in Religious Studies.
