If one side of Azam Rahi’s artistic expression was his fiction, the other side is his prose poetry. The sharp, stinging tone of this poetry, the words dipped in the lancet of codes and overtones not even make it remotely related to ’tuk-bandi’. Rahi’s poems are widely varied in terms of content. But the poet has not only teased the problem in his works but has also done an artistic analysis of the feeling created by it. ’Malbe mein daba Mausam (Weather in debris)’, is a book of poetry collection by Azam Rahi which consists of his selected nazms./اعظم راہی کے فنی اظہار کا ایک رخ اگر ان کے افسانے تھے تو دوسرا رخ ان کی نثری شاعری ہے۔ اس شاعری کا تیکھا، چبھتا ہوا لب و لہجہ، رمز اور ایمائیت کے نشتر میں ڈبوئے ہوئے لفظ اس بات کی غمازی کرتے ہیں کہ اس شاعری کو قافیہ پیمائی یا تُک بندی سے دور کا بھی واسطہ نہیں ہے۔ کنٹنٹ کے اعتبار سے راہی کی نظمیں بڑی حد تک متنوع ہیں۔ ایک اوسط شہری زندگی کے وہ تمام مسائل جن سے ایک برہم نوجوان دوچار رہا ہے ، راہی کی نظموں کا موضوع بنے ہیں۔ لیکن شاعر نے اپنی تخلیقات میں محض مسئلہ کو چھیڑا نہیں بلکہ اس سے پیدا شدہ احساس کا ایک فنکارانہ تجزیہ بھی کیا ہے۔
