In hoc libro, poeta carmina lyrica quae in antiquis codicibus reperta sunt colligit et edidit. Carmina in hoc libro continentur varia, inter quae sunt odes, epodi, elegiae, hymni, et alia. Spurinna Vestritius, qui saeculo primo vixit, erat poeta Latinus qui multa carmina scripsit, sed pauci eius versus ad nos pervenerunt. Lyricae Reliquiae est una ex paucis collectionibus quae eius carmina continebant. Haec editio libri est magna cum diligentia et cura facta, ut carmina poetae maxime accurate ederentur.
