God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. - 1 John 4: 16The author describes as 'five vital truths about love': God loves unconditionally; He commands us to love; we are unable, in our own strength, to love as God loves; we receive power from God to love supernaturally; and we access that love through faith. The author unwraps three Greek words-eros, phileo, and agape-commonly translated into one English word, 'love'. At the center of the book is agape, God’s pure love, which He wants to produce in us and through us of this transformative love.
