Love-Slaves

'Love-Slaves' is a profound exploration of spiritual devotion and the concept of total surrender to God. Written by Samuel Logan Brengle, a celebrated leader within the Holiness movement, this collection of essays and messages delves into the heart of Christian sanctification. The work characterizes the 'love-slave' not as one bound by fear or legalism, but as a believer whose heart is so captured by the love of Christ that service becomes a joyous, voluntary offering.Throughout the book, Brengle emphasizes the importance of a clean heart and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. He addresses various aspects of the spiritual life, including prayer, humility, and the necessity of personal holiness in effective ministry. With its clear, passionate prose, 'Love-Slaves' serves as both a practical guide and a spiritual call to arms for those seeking a deeper, more committed relationship with the Divine. This work remains a significant text for understanding early 20th-century evangelical thought, particularly the emphasis on the pursuit of entire sanctification. Its message continues to resonate with readers interested in the history of Christian spirituality and the practical application of holiness theology in daily life. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
