In our interconnected, globalised world, cross-cultural friendships have become an increasingly common and invaluable part of modern life. As people move across borders for work, study, or personal reasons, they encounter others from diverse cultural backgrounds. These encounters present opportunities for developing friendships that transcend cultural, linguistic, and religious boundaries. In the third millennium, many Hindus have settled throughout the Western world, including Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Fiji. They brought with them belief systems and practices, such as horoscopes and yoga classes, embedded in different ideologies and worldviews. Understanding a few of their worldviews and using them as a topic for conversation can help Christians fulfil their call to love their Hindu neighbours, and similarly, understanding the Christian worldview can help break down those walls that have existed since the colonial period, further strengthening the Hindu-Christian friendship. This book is a gift to Hindus, enabling them to understand the Christian worldview and its way of life. It is also a gift to the Christians to understand and love their Hindu neighbours and fulfil Christ’s great commission. The readers can now understand why their Christian neighbour is constantly concerned about their beliefs and worldviews. It is not to harm them but to love them as Christ commanded them to love their neighbours. Also, the Christians can understand why the Hindus are acting in a way that is very different from theirs in their neighbourhood. Worldview collisions occur naturally when we engage in honest cross-cultural interactions at the workplace and in church fellowships. Cross-cultural interactions can be transformative, expanding one’s worldview, fostering mutual respect, and promoting peace and understanding across societies. This book will encourage Christians and Hindus to engage in honest, complex, and cross-cultural conversations to explore the deeper meanings and truths embedded in their respective worldviews
