En el presente trabajo, Osami Takizawa, académico correspondiente de la Real Academia de la Historia de Madrid ofrece a los lectores en lengua española dos investigaciones concernientes a la labor evangelizadora desarrollada por los jesuitas en Japón durante los siglos XVI y XVII. La primera de ellas, presenta una historia general de los jesuitas en el país sirviéndose de fuentes inéditas albergadas en Madrid, en particular, en la Real Academia de la Historia. En la segunda, aborda pormenorizadamente el método seguido en la Evangelización de los jesuitas en Japón en los mencionados siglos. Ambas investigaciones constituyen el más reciente esfuerzo académico sobre el tema a nivel internacional. Los lectores hispanohablantes pueden, de este modo, comprender el modo en el que los jesuitas predicaron en Japón el Evangelio cautivando el corazón de las gentes del país, y venciendo el choque cultural que se halla entre el Cristianismo, el Budismo y el Sintoísmo. En la actualidad, la Santa Sede está desarrollando un diálogo con tras religiones del mundo.Este trabajo académico contribuirá individualmente al progreso de mismo diálogo por la Santa Sede. 10
