Lord Malcolm Stone - The Time Traveling JournalistBook 1 - The Holy Relic of Windemere CastleBook 1 in the Lord Malcolm Stone series, traces back the Stone family to its inception. Sir Reginald Stone who is a knight in the service of King Alfred, helps free Sussex from Viking control. He is later granted land where he builds Windemere Castle. The castle cellar, through the magic of Freya, a Danish Enchantress, becomes a portal to allude various foes of Sir Reginald. Sir Reginald though converts to Christianity and has the portal sealed. Eventually though, the portal will be repurposed and used as a escapeway for priests and other Catholics persecuted under King Henry VIII.The story centers on Sir Reginald’s descendant, Malcolm Stone, the 32nd Earl of Windemere. Lord Stone is an adventurer and seeks to grow not only as a writer, but as a man of faith. He enlists in the RAC and becomes a pilot during the Great War. He will go through various trials and tribulations in the war, but thanks to the Holy Relic of Windemere, and his relationship with Genevieve Hadley, he manages to survive his time on the Western Front. The story not only centers around Malcolm, the 32nd Earl of Windemere, but the reader will be transported to various other times where they will follow the exploits of other Stone family members like the 1st and 16th Earls of Windemere. These other 'Lord Malcolm’s' will walk with saints, fight tyrants and engage in holy crusades. And how is it that the Stone family was able to sustain a great faith and overcome much? It was by the Holy Relic of Windemere Castle. Being a piece of the cross of Jesus, Lord Malcolm the 1st Earl of Windemere retrieved the holy item during his time on the First Crusade. The relic is then handed down from generation to generation. The holy relic will be used by Lord Malcolm, the 16th Earl, to help he and other Catholics evade the forces of King Henry VIII who has outlawed the Catholic faith after separating from Rome.Lord Malcolm, the 32nd Earl will also use the holy relic time and again during his aerial exploits on the Western Front. Thanks to the relic, he will survive the war, even coming to the aid of his ancestor, Lord Malcolm the 16th, and be reunited with his beloved 'Lady Genny.'The story details that with the relic and the repurposed portal, which later became a sanctuary for St. Anselm, the Archbishop of Canterbury during his second exile, these aids will become fonts of faith to all who shun corruption and seek true faith.
