During the darkest, most difficult, and most painful days of my life-injured at work, loss of job, inability to do the usual work, crisis at home with an injured and aging mother to support, feeling weak and helpless-God reminded me of King David encouraging himself in the Lord. As I looked back over my life, I saw I had a lot to be thankful for, because God is always faithful, He is and will always be the great I Am, and a help in our troubles. He will remain the stability of our times and life, and with that blessed assurance, we can truly face tomorrow without fear but with trust, walk on in obedience, and prepare the way for His return.
