Longines Wristwatches: A Collector’s Guide. 169 pages. Illustrated with more than 800 Longines watches produced between 1913-1974, identified by either model number or model name. Many show the suggested retail price when the watch was introduced. Twelve years in the making, it’s the first identification book devoted almost exclusively to non-aviation Longines wristwatches. A large part of this work is based on the catalogs that Longines produced for the trade from the late 1930s to the 1960s. The remainder are specimens sold by auction houses, and models shown in various advertisements and ad slicks supplied to media outlets by Longines. This resulting guide is far from complete, but is a good start for the collector of Longines wristwatches.
