''''''Little Footprints On Her Heart'''' is basically a collection of poems written as a tribute to all those women who have desperately tried to become mothers and have experienced the challenges of conception or have witnessed the tragic exit of their unborn or young child at an early age.It is a collection of several experiences shared with the writer who has expressed different situations on their behalf. Some poems are merely a prayer in poetry, some are a motivation to the woman to move on, and some are messages, that there is much more than just ''''childbearing,'''' and some have subtle elements of humor in the pathetic phases they have been through. Not necessarily does a woman become a mother through ''''child birth.'''' only. She can still be defined as a mother if she possesses those maternal traits of being caring, loving, and having the sweetest temper in understanding others. Some Indian communities can be hilarious at times when it comes to carefully monitoring the life of a young woman. Once married, oh, she has to have a child! If she does have her first one, there needs to be a sibling to grow up with; so she needs to have the next one! With all due respect, of course, many of these featherbrained half-witted people in some areas have become extinct; however, you will be surprised! Not everyone comprehends what a woman goes through when she has tried everything, just to see the face of her child and fails at it. The book can also be considered as a message to those who have been there .. done that; and are striving to step out in the sun and see more than just that little ''''bundle of joy.''''''

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. Figures who could so easily flit like phantoms in her well honed poetry are palpably enjoying an after-life in the poet’s ability to redeem through deep understanding. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
