Montelusa was a small village of Sicily inhabited mainly by fishermen. This village belonged to the territory of Agrigento, and was located in the Valley of the Temples. The inhabitants of Montelusa were lively people and full of life, possessed a very affable and friendly character. In this book I tell one of many Sicilian families, struggling for survival, but the main theme is love to the blossoming of the first sun, what it is to be discovered, and you only hear with a spontaneous childhood heart and sincere, and perhaps so wonderful, like the age of the development, there is no one like it. The secondary theme is that pain for a misunderstood love, and that cannot continue, as too immature. Third is the tragedy, one that is accepted, albeit reluctantly, because some things that happened did not reflect the canons of the order, family and social, previously established. The protagonist’s name is Battista, who has an important role, but also the other characters have a significant role, chained to his fate and that of its sweet Sofia. The character of the novel seems to want to escape a fate is imposed on States which have a role to center and important in the family, making them die prematurely, but for him it was not so. In fact, he changes lives and moved to America to forget a love and tragedy of his life that creates pain.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
