Questo lavoro è una raccolta degli studi sull’istruzione nel XVIII secolo, sviluppati nei programmi di post-laurea in Brasile, tra il 1987 e il 2010. Si propone di conoscere lo stato dell’arte, identificare i principali temi e oggetti studiati e formulare ipotesi relative alla produzione su tale tema. Una volta effettuata la mappatura, il lavoro ha potuto rivelare i principali centri di produzione scientifica su questo oggetto e fornire indizi per comprendere il dibattito sull’istruzione nel periodo coloniale sviluppato negli ultimi due decenni e come questa produzione scientifica si relaziona con i campi storiografici della Storia Culturale e della Nuova Storia Politica. La ricerca è stata effettuata nella Banca dei Tesi della CAPES.
