Stattdessen werden die Grundlagen der Linearen Algebra (Vektorräume, lineare Unabhängigkeit, Basen, lineare Abbildungen, Matrizen, Determinanten, Eigenwerte, usw.) zuerst nur im reellen Fall diskutiert.Schwerpunkt im zweiten Teil sind Innenprodukträume und lineare Abbildungen darauf. Hier werden insbesondere die Singulärwertzerlegung und Elemente der Matrix-Analysis besprochen, aber auch Anwendungen in der Geometrie kommen nicht zu kurz.
