Written over the course of many years.varied experiences.failures and successes,The poet’s prayer is that God’s deft touch can be seen somewhere in each poem and as a consequence, He will be glorified.Threads of all colours are needed to weave a beautiful tapestry. It’s for this reason perhaps that the Master Weaver from time to time permits dark threads as well as colourful ones to be woven through the warp and weft of our lives. Often, it seems while looking at the back of our personal tapestries, the unfinished work as it were, that there is only a mass of tangled strands to be seen but then, when we meet with the Master Weaver, we get glimpses of the other side, His finished work and are thrilled to see a beautiful, purposeful, perfect pattern, where the dark and the burnished golds and shining silvers, interlaced through the weave, speak loudly of His mercy, grace and faithfulness .

The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular.
