This is a book of poetry written about 'Life Rhythms' as understood, observed and experienced in the life, mind and interpretation of the author. There are always rhythms of life everywhere at all times. We are all involved and interacting at all times and places with these rhythms. Rhythm is everywhere. To define rhythm briefly, I would say, that it is a pattern of movement that can be experienced on a spiritual, mental, or physical level. Rhythm is multi-dimensional. Each entity in existence has its own rhythm. Let’s say that each individual with his/her own rhythm relates to a group with its own rhythm, which is made up of all the rhythms of the individuals that are a part of it, and so it goes. Each group relates to a community, each community relates to a town [city], each town relates to a state[area, land], each area relates to a country, each country relates to a continent, each continent relates to a world, each world relates to a universe. Thus, everything works in harmony with things they relate to. Although all have their own rhythm they may interact with every other rhythm in the universe. Everyone has their own special place, yet that does not limit them or keep them from observing, experiencing, enjoying, or interpreting other rhythmic events in other places and spaces. Life and rhythm go together, they are inseparable. This is one of the things that gives life its flavor. I am sharing my inner most thoughts and observation of Life Rhythms with you in these words I have written, I hope you enjoy them. Find a comfortable spot, sit back, relax, read and enjoy the experience.

‘There’s a touch of both Dickinson and Larkin in Jennifer Chrystie’s mature exhumation of the tales and tropes of family. The collection arcs from, at one extreme, the parsimonies of the household, to the transce...

    Edward V Bonner
The very title of Edward V. Bonner's first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015), suggests some ways in which the poems inside balance the universal with the particular. Most of the poems examine the themes of beauty and risk, pleasure and danger, in the context of one of three kinds of relationships: to romantic partners, to the spiritual world, and to the world of nature....

In his interpretation of Antigone, Seamus Heaney says, ‘Nobody can be sure they are always right.’ Maureen O’Shaughnessy’s The Truth about A further attends to this idea through various readings of the myth as portrayed by Sophocles, Brecht, Ted Hughes, Anne Carson and, most particularly, Euripides.
