In São Paulo at the beginning of the 20th century, various influences were present in the texts of the libertarian authors who wrote in La Battaglia. In addition to the canons of libertarian thought such as Kropotkine or Malatesta, the editors of La Battaglia demonstrated in their pages the influence of authors such as Zola, Maximo Gorki and Victor Hugo. How the militants appropriated these works and coloured them with libertarian theory is what this book sets out to answer.
