Sobre IBD

L’objectif de cet essai est de donner quelques exemples historiques de récits et de croyances populaires racontés et diffusés oralement en cas d’urgence et de danger, réel ou perçu, concernant des maladies. La perspective choisie est diachronique, allant du Moyen Âge à l’époque contemporaine, tandis que les exemples sont tirés du monde occidental (Europe et États-Unis) et principalement de l’Italie. En outre, et malgré les changements survenus au fil du temps, ces exemples de folklore présentent certaines analogies : avant tout, la perception de la société comme un organisme en danger qu’il convient de protéger et de préserver de manière concrète et symbolique.
