Un altro libro prezioso che ancora una volta va tutto a merito di Cristina Contilli, scrittrice marchigiana che da anni sta lavorando anche su un terreno particolare della storia del nostro Risorgimento, capace di mettere insieme storie private e grande Storia. In questo modo personaggi come Silvio Pellico, Piero Maroncelli, Federico Confalonieri, personaggi insomma che siamo fin troppo abituati a considerare solo come nomi del Pantheon nazionale, buoni per i manuali di storia e la toponomastica cittadina, acquistano spessore, profondita, autenticita. Diventano sul serio persone, persone autentiche. In questa nuova fatica, si snoda tutto il rapporto epistolare che per piu di 30 anni ha legato Silvio Pellico a Quirina Mocenni Magiotti.
