Este livro é resultado de uma pesquisa de teor etnográfico desenvolvida entre 2011 e 2013. Proponho, nesta obra, a problematização de performances identitárias de masculinidade na sala de aula de inglês como língua adicional, em uma escola pública localizada no interior do estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Além de um olhar para questões de gênero e sexualidade, entendidos neste livro como performances, os caminhos pelos quais transitei para a construção deste estudo podem proporcionar reflexões importantes sobre o cenário educacional como um todo e sobre o ensino de inglês como língua adicional na contemporaneidade.
