Il Brasile possiede vaste aree forestali che offrono un grande potenziale per lo sviluppo di attività estrattive, costituendo un rapporto commerciale di importanza sociale, economica e ambientale. Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di analizzare l’estrazione della Macaúba (Acrocomia intumescens Drude), basandosi sulle conoscenze locali degli estrattori di una comunità dell’Area di Conservazione Ambientale Chapada do Araripe, dal punto di vista dello sviluppo locale.
