Les vrais chrétiens arabes des différents royaumes et tribus ont disparu au 10e siècle. Par conséquent, si ces chrétiens du monde arabe, du Moyen-Orient, du Levant et de la Terre sainte - la Palestine - parlent l’arabe comme langue maternelle, cela ne signifie pas qu’ils sont arabes. Le terme 'arabe chrétien' est considéré comme un terme de purification ethnique des véritables racines ethniques du Moyen-Orient à l’époque préislamique.Les chrétiens d’Orient sont des médiateurs entre l’Orient et l’Occident, il y a un problème d’identité et d’affiliation concernant leurs relations avec l’empereur byzantin et les croisades en ce qui concerne leur position dans le conflit entre l’Islam et l’Occident.
