Ce livre est le récit autobiographique de l’auteur, de l’enfant et écolier des Plateaux, du collégien et lycéen de Brazzaville (Congo) et de l’étudiant de Montpellier et de Paris (France). C’est ensuite le récit des parcours d’un professeur agrégé de cardiologie qui, malgré mille sollicitations, regagnera son pays natal. Rentré au pays, Christophe Bouramoué a notamment porté sur les fonts baptismaux l’école de médecine et la transformation de l’hôpital général de Brazzaville en CHU. Il a été l’un des artisans de l’adhésion de l’Université Marien Ngouabi (UMNG) au Conseil africain et malgache pour l’enseignement supérieur (CAMES).
