Il s’agit de mettre en perspective la situation sociale inédite dans laquelle s’est trouvé le citoyen-propriétaire au lendemain de la chute de Robespierre. Cet essai réinvestit politiquement les fondements du narratif libéral sous l’angle de la reconnaissance des causes juridiques qui ont permis la formation d’un état d’exception destinée à faire de la systématisation des situations statutaires discriminantes le moyen de préserver la domination des intérêts oligarchiques.
