Les Agni Bona sont un sous-groupe Agni établi aujourd’hui au Nord-Est de la Côte d’Ivoire dans les départements de Koun-Fao et de Tanda. Ce groupe est le résultat d’un métissage de groupes hétéroclites venus de divers horizons, mais principalement de l’Aowin. Il s’agit de l’un des rares sous-groupes du peuple Agni qui n’est pas organisé en royaume. Plusieurs causes sont à l’origine de leur migration vers la Côte d’Ivoire. Au cours de leur processus d’établissement, les Bona se sont heurtés à d’autres peuples, dont les Bron-Gyaman. Ainsi, ils ont été vaincus et intégrés au royaume Bron-Gyaman suite à une série d’affrontements. Cet ouvrage vise à montrer la migration du peuple Agni Bona et son intégration au royaume Bron-Gyaman entre 1721 et 1750.
