L’objectif de cette étude était d’examiner, à travers le discours du sujet collectif, comment un groupe de femmes religieuses gérait le stress et comment les dimensions qui composent le burnout - épuisement émotionnel, dépersonnalisation et faible accomplissement - pouvaient être révélées dans les entretiens. Les religieuses vivaient et travaillaient dans une favela du centre de São Paulo, dans des conditions précaires, mais elles accomplissaient leur mission avec dévouement et héroïsme. Ce fait a éveillé la curiosité de la chercheuse.
