This is a collection of the three previously published novellas in the Sun Chaser Saga. Animus of the CruelFragility of the RighteousDespair of the MisledAnimus of the Cruel : A visitor comes, one who has traversed the accursed forest to reach them. He is battered and bloodied, but he comes at the behest of his people. Before the twelve daughters of a dead god he must plead his case. He has come for their aid, as a cruel king has risen up among his people. This king has come by his station by nefarious means, rumors say that he consorts with demons. To slay demons is the daughters soul mission in life; keeping the beasts from terrorizing the mortal realm. But they cannot involve themselves in mortal affairs - their wars are their own to fight. An investigation into this cruel king must be made, for they cannot simply take this visitor at his word. Lira is chosen as one of the six sisters who will perform the investigation. She will meet the cruel king, and she will experience his kingdom of horrors.Fragility of the Righteous : When a demon hunt in the accursed forest leads to a strange discovery, Lira is put face to face with a creature she has never faced before. One that will test not only her physical strength but her heart as well. The discovery is ancient, and it holds untold - untapped power. Together Lira and her sisters will face new threats as they try their best to keep this power away from ones who would seek to use it for dark deeds.Despair of the Misled : An adventure with dire consequences is birthed from a simple wine run to the kingdom of Iberia.Three angels of a long absent god are thrust into the world of the Belleman, beings who dwell beneath the darkness of the accursed forest. Can Lira and her sisters save them from themselves?Difficult decisions must be made. Will Lira have the stomach for it?

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
