Legacy of Loros is the seventh and final book of the Nagaro Chronicle, containing the conclusion of the saga of the young man who took the name Nagaro to conceal his painful past. The wall of secrecy he erected around that past is beginning to show cracks, while he is forced to admit to having lost his heart to Princess Nevien, who is hopelessly beyond his reach. At the same time, the peace of the Kingdom of Edrovir is being threatened. One of Nevien’s suitors has been murdered, just after being chosen by King Elgurn to wed his daughter. Another suitor, Lothard Hurn, is the most likely culprit, but this can not be proven. The king and the members of his council would dearly love to remove Lothard from play - permanently. But how to do it? The plan they devise hinges upon Nagaro - Lord Kuran’s recently adopted heir - by pitting the two consumate swordsmen, Nagaro and Lothard, against each other. Nevien, fearful that the trap being laid could prove fatal to Nagaro rather than Lothard, seeks to warn him, even as Kuran tries to prevent his new heir from following his heart into danger. With the Leithian and Keloran factions still at odds, and Lothard increasingly impatient to achieve his royal ambitions, the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance.
