The author’s inspiration to write this autobiography/memoir came from the extraordinary story of her late husband, Fred Frank Cohn, a Holocaust survivor whose life was marked by tragedy but also resilience and hope. Through this work, Miriam seeks to honor his legacy and preserve his story for future generations. Miriam’s own roots trace back to her parents’ escape from Nazi Germany to the Philippines, where she was born in Manila.
