Il s’agit d’un rapport technique sur l’étude de l’efficacité d’absorption de l’Oxytenanthera Abyssinica dans l’eau de production d’une société pétrolière au Nigeria. L’eau de production est le volume le plus important de sous-produits ou d’eaux usées attribués aux industries pétrolières. L’étude évalue les installations de traitement de l’industrie pétrolière dans l’unité de déshydratation de l’installation terminale ; les propriétés physicochimiques et les constituants de l’eau produite et la capacité d’adsorption de l’oxytenanthera abyssinica (sp. de bambou) dans l’adsorption de l’huile dispersée et des métaux traces de l’eau produite. Les bambous ont été lavés, séchés, réduits en taille et carbonisés à des températures de 300-400°C. La caractérisation de la structure interne et de la composition élémentaire de l’adsorbant a été réalisée à l’aide du MEB et de l’EDS.
