In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare systems globally faced unprecedented challenges and uncertainties. For medical leaders, the practice of patient care quickly evolved into a high-stakes crisis management task. As the director of a medical group in Texas, I found myself in an unexpected but critical leadership role, embraced with a deep sense of responsibility towards my patients, team, and community. My team and I delivered care during one of the most demanding periods in modern healthcare history.In this book, I share the strategies that guided us through intense pressure, strengthened our collective resilience, and upheld our commitment to exceptional patient care despite escalating stress.
