Il lavoro si è basato su uno studio della leadership, che ha analizzato come i manager riescano a conciliare carriera e famiglia. Partendo da questa premessa, è stato possibile analizzare la leadership a partire dalla sua storia e dalla sua evoluzione nel tempo. Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di individuare se un leader è in grado di conciliare la carriera professionale e la vita familiare. La metodologia utilizzata è stata quella dello studio di caso e della ricerca bibliografica, applicata a due aziende multinazionali del settore automobilistico, situate nella città di Lavras/MG (Brasile).
