La résolution des griefs des clients est devenue très importante de nos jours et la RBI adopte continuellement des réglementations pour le bon fonctionnement des banques et la résolution des griefs des clients. Le système de médiation bancaire a été mis en place par la Reserve Bank of India (RBI) en 1995 pour apporter des solutions rapides aux griefs des clients des banques. Le système a été révisé en 2002 et 2006 respectivement. Ce livre intitulé 'Banking Ombudsman Scheme in India : A Critical Analysis' est très pertinent pour le scénario actuel car il s’agit d’un domaine de recherche en développement et il n’y a pas beaucoup de littérature disponible sur ce sujet. Ce livre donne une image fidèle de la sensibilisation du grand public à l’institution du médiateur bancaire. Les suggestions de l’auteur pour une mise en œuvre correcte du système sont remarquables.
