Certains lecteurs se réjouiront alors un peu vite et d’autres s’attristeront de façon tout aussi erronée de découvrir, au travers d’une opération athéologique censée les projeter au-delà du ciel platonicien, le séjour d’un Dieu ultime, lequel n’est autre qu’un nouvel Esprit ayant renoncé au salut.C’est cependant tout l’intérêt du Secret d’amour que de donner à chaque ligne et chaque page, un contenu sensible et secret - éminemment érotique - à ce Dieu nouveau, énigmatique, qui habite l’humain. Cet ouvrage, augmenté de deux articles par rapport à la première édition, révèle que c’est en notre cœur où se dissimule, désormais confondu avec l’esprit de Dieu, le véritable souverain . Le secret d’amour pense ce sanctuaire de l’intimité invisible et aveugle du cœur . En ce lieu où la vérité trop vive oppresse de la plus intime façon, surgit alors la plus radicale insulte que le monde puisse connaître, celle que Dieu fomente au cœur de l’humain. L’érotisme - distingué de la sexualité et du sexe - fait de l’insulte même au monde le péché en sa plus pure acception. L’insulte faite à ce qui est le plus cher est la plus inimaginable c’est-à-dire la plus secrète signification de l’érotisme. C’est la plus intime blessure à mort dont le cœur de la vie en celui de l’homme, depuis l’origine, est l’auteur.Philosophe, chargé de recherches au CNRS en philosophie moderne après l’avoir été en philosophie ancienne, Jean-Louis Cherlonneix (1953-1998) fut aussi professeur de philosophie ancienne à l’université de Reims. Il a notamment publié deux ouvrages sur la biologie platonicienne : Anatomie du Bien (1995) et L’Esprit Matériel (2006) ainsi que des articles sur saint Augustin, Plotin, Porphyre, Jérémy Bentham, Schopenhauer, Jacques Derrida, René Girard, Marcel Mauss, Martin Heidegger et Michel Henry.
